Database Administrator II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assisting with daily operations of large-scale, highly available, reliable, and high-performing transactional (OLTP) databases hosted in geo-distributed cloud-based data centers.

• Offering Oracle expertise to execute database operations with minimal (or no) downtime.

• Acting as a liaison for database-related issues among operations, architecture, development, and QA teams.

• Streamlining routine database operations through scripting or cloud automation tools.

• Guiding and mentoring junior DBAs.

• Engaging in architecture and incident review boards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 5 years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Have over 5 years of Oracle experience, specializing in supporting highly available transactional systems (4-9s).

• Hold advanced knowledge in Oracle troubleshooting and performance tuning for PL/SQL and the database in a Cloud environment.

• Accumulate 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with a focus on routine automation.

• Exhibit 5 years of exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience collaborating with culturally diverse and geographically distributed teams.

• Capable of effective communication with Program Management, InfoSec, Engineering, QA, and Operations personnel.

• Have extensive knowledge of Cloud DevOps principles.
