This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Architectural Design & Adaptation: Develop or modify the existing architecture to meet the specific needs of the DataHub platform, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Data Modelling & Normalisation: Perform comprehensive data analysis, create Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and implement Boyce-Codd Normal Form (BCNF) to ensure optimal data structure with minimal redundancy.
• Technical Support for Integration Teams: Provide assistance to the technical teams utilizing the DataHub platform by offering guidance, troubleshooting, and best-practice suggestions during system integration processes.
• Issue Resolution: Detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues that arise during the solution’s operation, ensuring minimal service disruption.
• Component & Building-Block Development: Design and create reusable architectural components and building blocks that can be utilized across various projects and modules.
• Collaboration & Communication: Actively engage in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user-focused sessions to communicate architectural decisions, gather feedback, and align expectations.
• Strong understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines as applied to relational databases (e.g., Liquibase)
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases (preferably Oracle 19c or newer)
• Proficient in database design
• Familiar with stored procedures and deployment packages (PL/SQL)
• Skilled in writing complex SQL queries to manage data across multiple databases and tables
• Capable of conducting database troubleshooting, including data validations to ensure information integrity, accuracy, and accessibility
• Good knowledge of UNIX/LINUX and Bash/KornShell scripts
• Familiar with software lifecycle development tools such as Jira
• Basic understanding of database administration
• Basic knowledge of application servers (Oracle WebLogic Server, Tomcat, etc.)
• Basic understanding of Agile methodology
• Knowledge of modern data engineering techniques (parquet, deltaparquet, Databricks, Synapse or Fabric) is a plus, as these are planned for future use within the system.
• Familiarity with the HR domain will be an advantage
