This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provides daily operational assistance for all designated databases and platforms.
• Leads the design and execution of new installations to support sanctioned projects and initiatives.
• Conducts necessary database management by overseeing and maintaining assigned systems, including backup & recovery, updates, patches, hotfixes, and collaborating with the Systems Engineering team to plan for additional capacity as required to fulfill business needs.
• Develops and upholds policies and procedures essential for the maintenance and continuity of assigned systems.
• Aids in solution design, which encompasses database schema, creation of stored procedures & functions, and SQL query optimization using the SQL server toolset.
• Designs, develops, implements, and maintains system interfaces necessary for streamlining and automating business processes.
• Creates and maintains documentation for all developed solutions.
• Coordinates with cross-functional initiatives to ensure project completion while adhering to Global standards and practices.
• Provides advanced technical support for IT Systems Engineers, Support Engineers, and Service Desk personnel.
• Mentors team members to guarantee cross-training for assigned systems and applications.
• Over 5 years of experience in database administration and advanced database support.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and the SQL server toolset.
• Advanced understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Ability to work efficiently and take on a leadership role within an international, multi-cultural team environment.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; capable of working independently and collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
• Excellent time management and workload management skills are crucial.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; or Equivalent Experience.
