This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver production support for critical database environments, including shift-based availability and on-call assistance.

• Oversee database performance, address incidents, resolve production challenges, and manage service restoration.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and aid in long-term stability enhancements.

• Operate within an Agile framework featuring daily scrums, biweekly sprint planning, and quarterly Program Increment planning.

• Establish operating standards and best practices for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

• Define, control, and coordinate data elements and standards while facilitating data relationships, systems integration, and physical structure.

• Create and implement database management policies and standards.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, users, agency leaders, stakeholders, consultants, and program personnel to gather and define technical requirements.

• Document intricate workflow designs for project teams and stakeholders.

• Gather, analyze, and interpret extensive datasets using statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling.

• Synthesize information, identify patterns and relationships, and create data visualizations for KPIs and program metrics.

• Conduct peer reviews of developers' code and perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity.

• Create stored procedures, jobs, views, tables, and other database objects using SQL Server Management Studio.

• Design and develop dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, and enterprise data marts.

• Develop and deploy ETL packages utilizing CI/CD pipelines.

• Utilize Atlassian Suite software development management tools.

• Index system and application logs in Splunk and generate dashboards, alerts, and reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of seven (7+) years of experience in server database maintenance and database analysis or a similar field.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a related computer-based major; relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Experience providing support for production database systems, including shift-based coverage and on-call duties.

• Proficient experience with AWS database technologies such as Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and other AWS-managed data services.

• Familiarity with Snowflake and exposure to the Azure cloud platform.

• Experience in installing, configuring, and managing database environments.

• Strong understanding of standard data warehouse concepts.

• Skilled in data modeling, data mapping, data flow diagrams, and data marts.

• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based database solutions across various platforms.

• Experience migrating data from legacy on-premises databases to multi-cloud/hybrid cloud environments.

• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional organizational, time management, written communication, and oral communication skills.

• Database or cloud certification is preferred, such as AWS Certified Database – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional.

• Preferred experience in creating and managing database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.

• Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data is preferred.
