This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver senior-level technical guidance in the development and operation of Air Force IT systems.
• Emphasize database architecture, performance optimization, and data management practices.
• Engage with customers and the Program Management Office.
• Assist and collaborate with capability delivery teams, including development Scrums, Cloud Engineering, and the DevSecOps Platform.
• Ensure the performance, availability, integrity, and security of databases across all environments.
• Optimize database performance, oversee database logs, and install necessary software and patches.
• Manage database configurations on each database server and/or Cloud One.
• Coordinate firewall access and release schedules with the PMO.
• Troubleshoot system anomalies, formulate database strategies, and monitor production systems.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to acquire and/or sustain a Secret Clearance.
• Intermediate certification per DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 IAM Level II certifications or above.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of pertinent experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in database management within an AWS Gov Cloud environment (RDS).
• Security+ CE or CCNA Security certification is required.
• Familiarity with XMLS, AWS, and Azure-related technologies and tools.
