Data Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide various Data Engineering teams, cultivating a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.

• Offer technical mentorship and direction to engineers.

• Advocate for best engineering practices, code quality, and ongoing improvement.

• Design, evaluate, and supervise scalable data solutions utilizing Databricks and contemporary cloud technologies.

• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural principles, and documentation protocols.

• Conduct code evaluations and provide constructive technical feedback.

• Propel process optimization, automation, and initiatives for engineering excellence.

• Remain updated with industry trends and best practices in Data Engineering and Analytics.

• Review and authenticate technical deliverables against engineering standards and client expectations.

• Develop and enhance quality assurance processes for data integrity, reliability, and governance.

• Support sustainable and scalable data architecture practices.

• Collaborate with clients to comprehend business and technical requirements.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor aligned with client goals and standards.

• Facilitate effective communication among technical teams, stakeholders, and business partners to ensure successful project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient English communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field.

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering.

• Strong practical experience with Databricks.

• Solid background in Apache Spark and cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Excellent programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.

• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.

• Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and making technical decisions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced and dynamic settings.

• Experience in consulting environments and working with international clients.

• Background in defining data governance and quality frameworks.

• Understanding of modern data architecture patterns, including Lakehouse architectures.

• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Relevant certifications in Databricks, Cloud Platforms, or Data Engineering.
