Data Solutions Engineer

Posted Jul 27

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with clients to pinpoint data-related challenges and create technical solutions, including linking data sources, setting up integrations, automating routine workflows, and generating custom reports.

• Implement and enhance AI-driven tools and workflows for clients; train both clients and internal teams on prompt engineering, the capabilities of large language models (LLMs), and best practices for utilizing AI in data operations.

• Develop and improve internal tools (such as importers, parsers, and reporting pipelines) to alleviate the manual workload on the Customer Experience team and enhance platform dependability.

• Perform tailored data operations like custom SQL reports, bulk data tasks, and backend queries for clients with specific data requirements.

• Manage API schemas, ingestion schedules, error management, Snowflake data sharing, and database connections.

• Recognize repeatable patterns among clients and convert them into product specifications, creating tickets and collaborating with Engineering to turn solutions into products.

• Assist internal engineering workflows as a secondary role by addressing and resolving minor quality-of-life bugs and enhancements that are too small for core Engineering but directly benefit the Customer Experience team and clients.

• Maintain a manageable load of data parsing tasks alongside your colleagues to remain engaged with the team's daily activities and develop supporting solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in a technical role that involves customer interaction, such as solutions engineering, data engineering, technical account management, or related fields.

• Proficient in SQL with the ability to create complex queries, conduct ad-hoc data analysis, and work with relational data structures.

• Competence in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and workflow automation.

• Practical experience with REST APIs, including design, consumption, and debugging of integrations.

• A genuine interest in AI. Experience with prompt engineering, LLM-based workflows, or AI-centric tools is highly desirable.

• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time for on-site work with clients.

• Knowledge of contemporary data infrastructure such as Snowflake, dbt, or similar data warehousing and pipeline tools.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in B2B SaaS, preferably within fintech, venture capital, or private markets.

• A high ownership attitude. You proactively identify issues and implement solutions without needing to be prompted.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity. You are not deterred by the lack of a fully defined playbook and are motivated by the challenge of helping to create one.

• Bonus: Familiarity with data integration tools (such as Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar), knowledge of fund accounting and investment data workflows, or experience in configuring MCP servers and AI agents.

• A degree in Finance or Computer Science is highly preferred.

🏝️ Benefits
