This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee comprehensive Data Science projects, starting from problem identification in collaboration with Product and Operations through to production delivery, assessing business impact, and implementing ongoing enhancements.
• Create, execute, and oversee machine learning pipelines in a production environment, accommodating both batch and online processing.
• Administer the lifecycle of models, encompassing experimentation, validation, deployment, monitoring, iteration, metrics, data drift, and concept drift management.
• Innovate and refine batch and real-time inference systems, emphasizing parallelization, concurrency, and minimal latency.
• Enhance latency, throughput, and resource utilization within production solutions.
• Establish best practices for MLOps, which include infrastructure setup, deployment strategies, observability, version control, automation, and continuous monitoring.
• Partner with Engineering Tech Leads and Product Managers to devise solutions, synchronize expectations, convey outcomes, and facilitate deliveries.
• Keep abreast of data science best practices and AI-enhanced development tools, suggesting improvements where applicable.
• In-depth understanding of machine learning methodologies and statistical modeling applicable to business challenges.
• Demonstrated experience in deploying machine learning models into production (both online and batch) and maintaining their operational integrity.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and Spark for handling large-scale datasets.
• Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Substantial experience with MLOps frameworks, particularly MLflow.
• Strong foundation in statistics, statistical inference, and hypothesis testing (including A/B testing).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines.
• Additional assets: experience with Databricks, financial fraud prevention, fraud metrics, Kafka, Kinesis, fintech, AWS, graph data science, Neo4j, or AWS Neptune.
• Willingness to work an 8-hour day, Monday to Friday.
