Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and validate machine learning and statistical models that address specific business challenges.

• Analyze extensive datasets to identify trends and derive insights.

• Collaborate with data engineers to enhance and refine model features.

• Design and evaluate experiments to assess the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives.

• Communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders in a manner that aids decision-making.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business partners in an agile setting to integrate models into products and processes.

• Adhere to CHG's data privacy and security protocols.

• Investigate key relationships and provide strategic recommendations.

• Work in close partnership with the strategic analytics team and other essential stakeholders.

• Establish clear evaluation metrics and thoroughly test work prior to deployment.

• Stay updated with the latest data science and machine learning techniques and contribute innovative ideas to the team.

• Manage projects from conception to production with minimal supervision.

• Support the professional growth of newer team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience in constructing and validating machine learning or statistical models.

• 3-5 years of experience utilizing Python or R for data analysis and modeling purposes.

• 3-5 years of SQL experience crafting medium to complex queries.

• Proven experience in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and utilizing data visualization tools or libraries.

• Experience in deploying models to production is preferred.

• Familiarity with Snowflake and dbt is preferred.

• Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms is preferred.
