Data Science Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Enhance and optimize language models, including fine-tuning and retraining to align with specific needs.

• Collaborate with product and development teams to create machine learning models and algorithms tailored to product requirements.

• Partner with product managers to execute strategies aimed at enhancing product functionality and user experience.

• Manage, analyze, and extract insights from large volumes of text data and extensive datasets.

• Develop and sustain robust, efficient, production-ready code.

• Work alongside DevOps and ML-Ops teams to deploy machine learning models in production settings.

• Write and optimize SQL queries while engaging with databases.

• Contribute positively within a team-oriented atmosphere while creating a world-class product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a PhD program in a quantitative field such as Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Engineering.

• Completed coursework in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM).

• In-depth knowledge of neural networks, deep learning, and generative AI.

• Understanding of reinforcement learning concepts.

• Experience in developing predictive models and causal inference models.

• Familiarity with generative AI technologies.

• Proven experience in analyzing large and complex datasets.

• Proficiency in using tools such as PyTorch (preferably) or TensorFlow.

• Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex topics and conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
