Data Science and Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the Data Science and Engineering team, cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation.

• Develop and execute a data science vision and strategy that aligns with business objectives.

• Supervise the development and implementation of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.

• Mentor and support team members, encouraging their professional growth and development.

• Apply advanced data science methodologies, including machine learning, predictive modeling, and data mining, to derive actionable insights.

• Manage the design, development, and upkeep of data infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable and reliable.

• Enforce best practices for data management, governance, and security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data solutions into business workflows.

• Partner with business stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

• Promote the adoption of data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.

• Create and enhance the delivery of embedded analytics solutions for end users to improve business processes.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and execute innovative solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in a leadership position within data science and engineering.

• Strong technical proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and data tools (e.g., Snowflake).

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) is advantageous.
