This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted advisor on US privacy and AI legislation, offering timely and practical guidance to internal teams and engaging with customers to negotiate and clarify data protection stances.

• Direct and execute privacy and AI compliance initiatives from start to finish, which includes assessments, data flow analysis, risk identification, and tracking actions to completion.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Legal teams to integrate Privacy and AI by Design into data usage, products, and services, ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory standards.

• Review, draft, and negotiate data protection clauses in customer and supplier agreements, balancing legal risks with business objectives.

• Keep abreast of new and emerging US privacy and AI laws, swiftly translating requirements into clear, actionable business guidance.

• Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, processes, and documentation, including supporting both internal and external audits and ensuring robust record-keeping.

• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders while delivering training and awareness programs to foster a culture of privacy and AI compliance throughout the organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Capacity to quickly comprehend legal contracts and regulatory requirements, then apply this understanding to ensure GBG’s compliance.

• Ability to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and within tight deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade and influence individuals at all levels, including experience in managing challenging consumers.

• Inquisitive nature that enables you to uncover the full picture, potentially leading to further areas for investigation or resolution.

• Proven ability to learn quickly, grasp complex requirements, and apply local data protection rules and guidance to understand technical solutions.

• Experience working within a complex organization, ideally in the same industry or a similar field.

• Familiarity with state privacy obligations, biometric laws, GLBA, FCRA, and other relevant legislation, with a proven track record of practical application.

• Self-driven with the ability to work independently.

• Capable of planning ahead and working systematically and in an organized manner.

• Demonstrates clear analytical thinking skills.

• Effectively applies personal expertise.

• Communicates and networks successfully.
