Data Portfolio Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain current executive-level documents (presentations, dashboards, status updates) that effectively convey the work, progress, and value of the Data & Analytics area to PepsiCo leadership in a clear and engaging manner.

• Ensure that all data and AI teams (approximately 6 teams) adhere to recommended agile methodologies and best practices within Azure DevOps, including synchronized sprint cycles and standardized ceremonies.

• Advise Data Product Managers from CI&T and partner consultancies on prioritizing backlog items based on business value, minimizing ad hoc and low-impact demands, and shifting towards a business-focused backlog model.

• Serve as the main liaison between data delivery teams and PepsiCo's business and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables across all workstreams.

• Share people management responsibilities with CI&T colleagues, including aiding in hiring processes, conducting interviews, providing absence guidance, and contributing to the professional growth and engagement of team members.

• Assume the role of Product Data Manager (PDM) when necessary, assisting team leadership with product-level decisions and ensuring that data products are developed with a clear value proposition.

• Enhance visibility and collaboration among CI&T teams and other consultancies operating within the PepsiCo data ecosystem (e.g., Indícium, Acesso), reducing silos and promoting integrated portfolio management.

• Assist in the ongoing structuring of data governance processes, including the implementation of AIOps practices, PI planning, and unified sprint models across all teams.

• Proactively identify risks, blockers, and capacity challenges across the portfolio, escalating as necessary and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure delivery remains on schedule.

• Quickly grasp the intricate details of the PepsiCo data landscape — encompassing teams, stakeholders, tools, and strategic priorities — and keep institutional knowledge current.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English communication (C1 or above) — reading, writing, and speaking is essential for this role.

• Demonstrated experience in Data Product Management or Data Management roles, showing a clear progression towards strategic/portfolio-level responsibilities.

• Strong portfolio management perspective: capacity to maintain a broad view across multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Solid experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or similar), including sprint planning, PI planning, and backlog refinement.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or comparable project management and delivery tracking tools.

• Proven ability to create executive-level presentations and convey complex data initiatives to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering trusted relationships with demanding clients and multi-vendor environments.

• Nice to Have:

• Experience in large CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or FMCG companies, or similarly intricate enterprise settings.

• Understanding of data architecture concepts (ETL pipelines, dashboards, ML pipelines) — not hands-on, but enough to engage in informed discussions.

• Experience managing or coordinating multi-vendor/multi-consultancy data projects.

• Knowledge of AI/ML project dynamics and measuring business value from advanced analytics initiatives.

• Familiarity with OKR frameworks or value-based roadmap planning techniques.

• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools at a product ownership level.
