Data Platform Engineer, Metadata, DQ

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Become part of a Media & Entertainment initiative focused on creating cutting-edge analytical solutions.

• Contribute to the development of a cloud-native data ecosystem on AWS, emphasizing metadata management and data quality.

• Implement, configure, and oversee the Metadata Management platform and Data Quality environment.

• Seamlessly integrate the solution with the lakehouse, data warehouse, domain systems, and analytical tools.

• Automate processes for metadata ingestion, data lineage, data quality monitoring, and DQ reporting.

• Establish and maintain the metamodel and technical frameworks for enforcing data quality standards.

• Enhance and expand integrations between Data Quality and Metadata Management solutions.

• Monitor the stability, performance, and security of the overall environment.

• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and business teams to implement standards and promote the effective use of the data catalog and DQ mechanisms.

• Generate technical documentation and offer user support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer / Data Platform Engineer or in a similar capacity.

• Demonstrated experience in constructing and sustaining production data pipelines (ETL/ELT).

• Strong expertise in Python (APIs, automation, integrations) and SQL.

• Practical experience in an AWS environment.

• Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD practices and GitHub.

• Experience in implementing data validation, data testing, or data quality control mechanisms within data pipelines.

• Familiarity with system integrations (REST API, GraphQL, or similar technologies).

• Knowledge of Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and Data Quality principles.

• Capability to work autonomously in a project-driven setting.
