This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

• You will lead the evolution of our clinical data platform on Google Cloud Platform.

• Design and develop the end-to-end data architecture on Google Cloud Platform.

• Define and maintain the architecture for the Raw, Standard (Silver), and Curated (Gold) layers in BigQuery.

• Design ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Cloud Composer (Airflow), Airbyte, and dbt Core.

• Spearhead the modernization of existing pipelines and models towards a more scalable and maintainable architecture.

• Establish standards for data modeling, documentation, and governance.

• Design quality mechanisms through automated testing, monitoring, and alerts.

• Ensure the secure handling of clinical data using IAM, Policy Tags, DLP, and access controls.

• Define observability, logging, and monitoring standards for the platform.

• Establish best practices in engineering and architecture.

• Collaborate with technical teams on design and implementation decisions.

• Optimize the performance and costs of BigQuery and other Google Cloud Platform services.

• Serve as a technical reference for the data platform.

• Over 5 years of experience in senior architecture or engineering of cloud data platforms.

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Composer, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.

• Experience designing data platforms, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, or Lakehouse architectures.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and data modeling.

• Experience with dbt Core for transformation, testing, and documentation.

• Experience designing batch pipelines and orchestrated transformation processes.

• Knowledge of data governance, quality, and security.

• Experience working with Git, CI/CD, and Terraform.

• Ability to lead technical decisions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
