This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

• Analyze and clarify business requirements derived from fragmented or incomplete documentation.

• Collaborate directly with business units to align requirements, data definitions, and reporting necessities.

• Convert business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

• Design and implement data models for the Silver layer: normalized / 3NF model; Gold layer: dimensional / star schema model.

• Construct and maintain a medallion architecture in Azure Synapse, encompassing silver and gold tables.

• Develop data transformations and pipelines utilizing Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python/PySpark.

• Integrate data primarily from SAP source systems.

• Assist in data cataloging, governance, and lineage through Microsoft Purview.

• Utilize Azure DevOps for repository management, CI/CD, and project tracking.

• Facilitate reporting and analytics via well-structured datasets for Power BI.

• Extensive experience with Azure cloud data platforms.

• Practical experience with: Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Python/PySpark, SQL, Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures.

• Strong comprehension of data modeling: 3NF/normalized models, Star schema/dimensional modeling, Data warehouse design.

• Experience in working with SAP source systems.

• Capability to translate business requirements into technical data models.

• Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD, preferably in Azure DevOps.

• Good understanding of reporting needs, ideally with Power BI.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Experience with Microsoft Purview is a considerable advantage.

• Background in SAP-intensive enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with agile delivery and tools such as Jira/Azure DevOps.

• Microsoft data engineering certification is a plus.
