This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Lead the technical architecture for the client's B2B marketing stack within AEP: XDM schema design, dataset configuration, ingestion pipelines, and identity graph strategy.
• Define and manage the data integration architecture between upstream enterprise sources (CRM, order management, customer service, product usage) and AEP.
• Design and supervise RTCDP configuration: profile merge rules, identity namespaces, consent management, and destination activation.
• Collaborate with the technical build team on AJO configuration (channel surfaces, data source connections, event schema).
• Provide technical oversight for the migration from legacy platforms to AJO/AEP: data mapping, translation of suppression logic, and planning for historical migration.
• Establish MarTech integration standards and data contracts between AEP and downstream channels (email, SMS, paid media, sales enablement).
• Work alongside the client's data engineering and architecture teams to ensure governance, security, and compliance alignment.
• Document architecture decisions, data flows, integration specifications, and platform configurations.
• Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, latency, and completeness that impact activation and personalization.
• Assist the Analytics & Measurement Lead with AEP Query Service, data lake access, and reporting datasets.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, MarTech architecture, systems integration, or enterprise data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AEP: XDM schema design, batch and streaming ingestion, Profile Service configuration. While Adobe is preferred, we are also open to strong CDP architects from similar platforms (Segment, Tealium, Salesforce Data Cloud, Treasure Data) who can quickly adapt to AEP; this skill set is rare, and we prioritize finding the right architect over the perfect résumé.
• Strong understanding of CDP architecture concepts, including identity resolution and real-time profile activation.
• Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Python, pipeline tools (Kafka, Azure Data Factory), or a cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience in designing and governing integrations across enterprise CRM, data warehouses, and marketing activation platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality management, consent frameworks, and enterprise security.
• Excellent documentation skills: technical design specifications, data dictionaries, and integration diagrams.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across technical engineering teams and senior marketing stakeholders.
• Experience with Adobe RTCDP configuration (merge rules, identity namespaces, audience activation).
• Background in supporting a legacy marketing automation migration.
• Experience with AJO technical configuration (API-triggered journeys, event schema).
• Familiarity with complex, multi-vendor program environments with shared data responsibilities.
• A background in MarTech consulting, systems integration, or digital transformation advisory.
• AEP certifications (AEP Architect, AEP Business Practitioner, or equivalent).
• Enterprise data experience in telecommunications, technology, or financial services.
