This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, insights teams, and analytics developers.
• Convert executive requests into precise business requirements, data specifications, and analytical methods.
• Assess dashboards, calculations, and reporting methodologies prior to release.
• Confirm the use of accurate business logic, methodologies, metrics, and data sources, including syndicated datasets like Nielsen.
• Detect and rectify reporting discrepancies.
• Engage in discussions regarding business and executive reporting.
• Document business metrics, calculation methods, and data source instructions.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to analytics developers on business metrics, commercial context, and reporting standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting processes and communication.
• Create scalable documentation and best practices to boost the analytics team's capabilities.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
• Over 4 years of experience in Business Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Consumer Insights, Market Research, Strategy, or a comparable analytical position.
• Prior experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Retail, or a similar commercial setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with syndicated data sources, especially Nielsen.
• Capability to identify the most suitable data source for various business inquiries.
• Strong comprehension of retail and commercial performance metrics, including velocity, points of distribution, market share, merchandising, pricing, and related KPIs.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Competence in validating data, calculations, business logic, and reporting accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear directions for technical and analytics teams.
• Experience working collaboratively with analytics, BI, engineering, or dashboard development teams in a cross-functional setting.
• Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is a plus.
• Technical coding or dashboard development experience is not mandatory; however, the ability to engage credibly with technical teams is essential.
