Data & Impact Analytics Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Identify and understand the key information and analysis needs of the Fundación Capital teams, translating them into functional and technical requirements.

• Design and contribute to the development of the institutional data architecture, defining structures, models, and integration mechanisms among various information sources.

• Provide technical guidance and support, in collaboration with the Data and BI Analyst, for the integration, cleansing, transformation, and structuring of data.

• Design and develop processes for data extraction, transformation, and integration to automate and standardize the main information flows.

• Define and document rules, structures, and basic standards for variables, indicators, and priority sources.

• Implement controls to identify quality issues, incomplete information, duplicates, inconsistencies, or outdated data.

• Develop queries, indicators, dashboards, reports, and other analytical tools.

• Conduct descriptive and exploratory analyses to identify trends, patterns, and significant findings.

• Translate business needs and institutional questions into clear and usable data solutions and analytical products.

• Document data structures, integrations, queries, processes, and developed tools.

• Coordinate with internal profiles responsible for data, technology, and analysis.

• Provide technical support and knowledge transfer regarding the implemented structures, tools, and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with Python and/or R for data processing, transformation, and analysis.

• Experience in designing or implementing data architectures and structuring and integrating multiple information sources.

• Knowledge of cloud tools or data services in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or other similar environments.

• Experience in integrating, cleansing, transforming, and structuring information from various sources.

• Knowledge of data modeling and structuring.

• Experience developing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes (ETL/ELT) or similar integration workflows.

• Understanding of principles of data quality, documentation, governance, and traceability.

• Experience in descriptive and exploratory data analysis.

• Ability to design indicators, queries, reports, and analytical products.

• Experience with visualization and Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar.

• Ability to document technical processes clearly and reproducibly.

• Ability to communicate technical information and findings to individuals with varying levels of data expertise.

• Experience integrating information through APIs, automation, or connectors between different platforms (valued).

• Experience working with social organizations, international cooperation, development projects, digital products, financial inclusion, or related sectors (valued).

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools or Generative AI applied to analysis, automation, documentation, or data processing (valued).

• Fluent in English, capable of participating in meetings, making presentations, consulting technical literature, and producing work documents in an international environment.

• Advanced or native Spanish.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analytics, Business Intelligence, data engineering, data integration, data architecture, or related fields.

• Practical experience working with databases and multiple information sources.

• Experience developing processes for data transformation, integration, analysis, or visualization.

• Experience building solutions that can be recurrently used by other teams or users.

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

• Candidates with other educational backgrounds demonstrating solid practical experience in architecture, integration, and data analytics may also be considered.
