Senior Director, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a diverse team of software engineers, esteemed researchers, and solutions architects to facilitate informed decisions through effective modeling.

• Establish and strive for a simplified end state that embraces digital technologies, cloud hosting, and open-source software.

• Break down the intricacies of complex interconnected modeling systems to guide senior business executives on model strategy, applications, and associated risks.

• Evaluate, question, and occasionally defend cutting-edge decision-making systems to internal stakeholders and regulatory partners.

• Influence our approach to developing machine learning models, encompassing design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.

• Supervise the creation of benchmark and challenger models to rigorously test pivotal modeling decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline along with 11 years of experience in data analytics.

• A Master’s Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative focus, coupled with 9 years of experience in data analytics.

• A PhD in a quantitative domain along with 6 years of experience in data analytics.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience using open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis.

• At least 6 years of experience in machine learning applications.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience working with relational databases.
