Data Governance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of the Data Governance strategy.

• Collaborate with Business Operations, Cybersecurity, and IT to identify, suggest, and/or implement processes and technologies.

• Align tactical initiatives with the data governance strategy across various projects and programs.

• Execute the data governance strategy, controls, and capabilities, which include data catalog, metadata management, data quality certification, and data quality metrics.

• Improve the data literacy program to inform executives and functional teams about the significance of data.

• Oversee the definition and documentation of Data Governance processes.

• Manage communication with stakeholders and report progress at different levels within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 years of experience in roles related to data governance, data quality, analytics, or data management.

• In-depth understanding of data concepts including data definitions, metadata, lineage, and quality.

• Capability to work cross-functionally and translate governance concepts into actionable guidance and business value.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

• Extensive experience with data catalogs or metadata management tools.

• Proven experience in implementing a data quality program.
