Data Governance, Data Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold enterprise-level data management practices aimed at achieving Level 4-5 CMMI target operating maturity.

• Identify and document authoritative data sources within the OAA application and reporting portfolio.

• Standardize data definitions while establishing enterprise data standards and naming conventions.

• Address and resolve duplicate and conflicting data elements across applications, databases, and reports.

• Bridge metadata gaps and oversee the maintenance of data dictionaries along with report-to-data-source traceability.

• Identify and rectify reporting inconsistencies across SSRS, Power BI, SharePoint, and custom applications.

• Assist with Azure Data Engineering initiatives, including considerations for data pipeline and data warehouse design.

• Create and sustain the Data Management Assessment along with supporting data governance artifacts.

• Provide guidance to developers and Government stakeholders on the impacts of proposed changes regarding data quality, data lineage, and governance.

• Support the maintenance of ATO artifacts concerning data handling, PII, and data classification.

• Engage in regular technical working sessions with OAA leadership and the DMC team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. No equivalencies or substitutions for the degree requirement will be accepted.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in data management, data governance, or data administration.

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices is required.

• Experience with Azure Data Engineering, SQL Server, Power BI, and SharePoint.

• Proven experience in establishing data standards and resolving enterprise data quality issues.

• Strong communication skills effective with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Must have continuously resided in the United States for the last 36 months.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
