This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.
• Lead the creation and execution of intricate data pipelines and integration solutions essential for key client business operations.
• Take ownership of comprehensive data engineering projects from discovery and requirements gathering to POC development, production rollout, and optimization.
• Build, develop, and guide a high-achieving engineering team.
• Design and implement data ingestion frameworks on Snowflake.
• Create platform-agnostic data pipelines and schemas suitable for high-volume workloads.
• Develop data models for submit-grade-return workflows, identity graphs, record matching, and deduplication systems.
• Lead discovery pipeline initiatives and functional POCs.
• Implement high-volume matching algorithms.
• Perform performance, load, and scalability testing to validate architectural choices.
• Enhance latency, throughput, connection reliability, and integration alternatives.
• Evaluate APIs, batch delivery systems, and governed clean-room workflows.
• Define data integration strategies and convey trade-offs to clients.
• Guide infrastructure and tool selection based on performance needs and business limitations.
• Lead API design and integration strategies facing partners.
• Architect decisions between batch versus real-time processing and governed clean-room solutions for partner data exchange.
• Establish technical standards for schema design, SQL quality, pipeline development, and production readiness through reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Over 7 years of practical data engineering experience in production settings.
• At least 2 years of direct leadership or technical management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Extensive knowledge in schema and data model design, complex joins, and performance enhancement.
• Proven track record with high-volume record matching, deduplication, and identity resolution systems.
• Experience in platform-agnostic data engineering across Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, and other platforms.
• Expertise in pipeline development, performance testing, and latency and throughput evaluation.
• Familiarity with designing and implementing batch and real-time data integration workflows.
• Knowledge of governed clean-room solutions and data governance methodologies.
• Understanding of API design, microservices patterns, and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with engineering teams and senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated mentoring capabilities and strong recruitment and team-building skills.
• Proficient in English at an advanced level, essential for communicating with global teams and client leadership.
