Data Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain robust data pipelines that handle significant volumes of data.

• Perform analysis on extensive data sets utilizing tools such as Python and SQL.

• Enhance and optimize our data platform for improved speed, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with various functional teams to comprehend and fulfill their data requirements.

• Create processes and tools to monitor and assess model performance and data accuracy.

• Address general data-related challenges.

• Establish new pipelines for the complete stream/enrichment/curation process.

• Maintain source code repositories.

• Explore and implement ML and AI solutions to enhance our cloud offerings.

• Mentor and develop junior team members.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer (5-7+ years, achievements can compensate for experience).

• Strong leadership capabilities.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced skills in SQL.

• Proficiency in Python programming.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

• Familiarity with version control systems like git.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• A strong desire to learn and excel in new technologies and methodologies.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in the following areas is a plus:

• Data governance.

• Building and deploying machine learning models.

• Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
