Data Engineering Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Data Engineering team to ensure alignment, prioritization, and ongoing delivery.

• Act as a technical reference point, aiding in decisions regarding architecture, standards, and best practices.

• Foster team development through constructive feedback, technical guidance, and support for career advancement.

• Manage the technical backlog, follow-up rituals, and ensure alignment with the Head of Data.

• Guide the implementation and advancement of modern data architectures, focusing on scalability, performance, and governance.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards for data ingestion, transformation, versioning, and publishing.

• Guarantee efficient integration of data from various internal and external sources.

• Advocate for the development and promotion of an engineering and data culture at Sólides.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Data Engineering within production and scalable environments.

• Prior experience in technical leadership, coordination, or as a senior technical reference.

• Proficient SQL skills alongside experience in Python.

• Familiarity with PySpark and cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Lakehouse environments.

• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or comparable technologies.

• Strong understanding of data modeling and support for analytical layers.

• Experience in applying software engineering best practices to data, including testing, version control, and CI/CD.

• Knowledge of contemporary data architectures, governance, security, and privacy.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

• Analytical and pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of ownership and results-driven approach.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
