Data Engineering Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Data Engineering team, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and ongoing delivery.

• Act as a technical authority, aiding in architectural choices, standards, and best practices.

• Foster team development through constructive feedback, technical mentorship, and career advancement support.

• Manage the technical backlog, coordinating follow-up rituals and alignment with the Head of Data.

• Spearhead the implementation and advancement of modern data architectures, focusing on scalability, performance, and governance.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards for data ingestion, transformation, versioning, and publication.

• Guarantee effective integration of data from various internal and external sources.

• Encourage the growth and promotion of an engineering and data culture at Sólides.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering, with a background in production and scalable environments.

• Prior experience in technical leadership, coordination, or as a senior technical reference.

• Proficient in SQL and experienced with Python.

• Familiarity with PySpark and cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Lakehouse environments.

• Competence in pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, or similar).

• Strong understanding of data modeling and support for analytical layers.

• Proven experience with software engineering best practices as applied to data (testing, version control, CI/CD).

• Knowledge of contemporary data architectures, governance, security, and privacy.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaborative abilities.

• Analytical and pragmatic approach with a strong sense of ownership and results-driven mindset.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
