Data Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing SQL, Spark/PySpark, and Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks

• Executing data cleansing, validation, and transformation procedures

• Constructing and sustaining medallion/lakehouse architectures with Microsoft Fabric or Delta Lake

• Merging data from various enterprise systems

• Creating analytics-ready datasets for BI reporting and subsequent use cases

• Enhancing the performance of pipelines, transformations, and data models

• Assisting in the modernization of data platforms and the transition from legacy ETL solutions

• Collaborating within Agile teams alongside architects, analysts, and client stakeholders

• Contributing to engineering best practices, reusable patterns, and knowledge sharing

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields

• Proficient programming abilities in SQL and Python/PySpark

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or comparable data platforms

• Experience with Azure or AWS data services

• Proven track record in developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions

• Understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and data modeling principles

• Familiarity with Git and contemporary development practices

• Capability to operate within Agile teams and a consulting atmosphere

• Exceptional spoken and written English communication skills

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Delta Lake, or Snowflake would be a significant advantage

• Experience in data platform modernization or ETL migration initiatives

• Familiarity with Power BI or other analytical tools

• Knowledge of Delta Lake or similar storage formats

• Experience in international work environments

• Possession of Azure or Databricks certifications
