Data Engineer – MDM, Cloud Data & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage enterprise Master Data Management solutions.

• Create MDM applications utilizing Java and contemporary enterprise technologies.

• Establish and maintain APIs for Master Data and Reference Data.

• Ensure data quality, governance, integrity, and consistency.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to outline data standards and processes.

• Design and implement scalable cloud-based data platforms.

• Develop secure and dependable batch and near-real-time data pipelines.

• Construct and enhance data integration and processing workflows.

• Monitor and diagnose platform performance and reliability.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.

• Transform raw data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets.

• Create dimensional data models following Kimball methodologies.

• Develop reusable data products for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Implement frameworks for data quality and validation.

• Create interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Convert business requirements into impactful KPIs and visualizations.

• Enhance reporting performance, usability, and data reliability.

• Generate high-level and detailed technical solution designs.

• Review architecture, code, data models, pipelines, APIs, and dashboards.

• Mentor team members and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related fields.

• More than 5 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale integrated solutions.

• Strong practical experience in Java application development.

• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms.

• Significant experience in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

• Hands-on experience in developing scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.

• Comprehensive knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling/Kimball methodology.

• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Data Platform Services, and Data Lakehouse architectures is highly desirable.

• Experience with Power BI and Tableau is highly desirable.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with Java, Python, TypeScript, REST APIs, and microservices architecture is highly desirable.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban, DevOps practices, and secure software development practices is highly desirable.

• Experience with enterprise MDM platforms, specifically TIBCO EBX, is a plus.

• Certifications in Azure, Databricks, Scrum, DevOps, or Secure Coding are advantageous.

• Experience working in international and multicultural environments.

• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.

• Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and business leaders.

• Must reside outside the Philippines.

• Must align with Manila business hours and the client's business calendar and holidays.
