This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Lead, design, and enhance data solutions to facilitate Journey Analytics initiatives, emphasizing code quality, reusability, and dependable data platforms.
• Establish the technical direction, manage the evolution of data architectures, and guide a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality, efficient datasets for analytics and reporting applications.
• Mentor a team of data engineers, promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and data engineering standards.
• Define and implement the technical strategy for Journey Analytics data platforms, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and high-performing.
• Supervise the maintenance, optimization, and automation of code repositories in GitHub, ensuring adherence to high-quality and consistent development practices.
• Lead the refactoring of legacy codebases to enhance maintainability, scalability, and reusability across various use cases.
• Drive the design and execution of modular, reusable data components to support multiple journeys and minimize duplication.
• Oversee the development and management of automated data pipelines in Databricks, ensuring reliability and scalability for downstream usage.
• Establish and uphold standards for scalable data modeling to accommodate current and future analytics use cases.
• Ensure data quality, governance, performance, and reliability throughout all data pipelines and datasets.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering stakeholders to align data solutions with business requirements and priorities.
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, implementing mitigation strategies at both team and platform levels.
• Foster continuous enhancement of data processes, documentation, and engineering practices.
• Over 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with GitHub repositories and version control workflows.
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines within Databricks.
• Proven track record of refactoring and maintaining legacy codebases.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and the design of reusable components.
• Experience in building scalable data models for analytics and reporting applications.
• Strong emphasis on data quality, performance, and reliability.
• Ability to thrive in cross-functional environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Capacity to work independently and take ownership of projects after receiving high-level guidance, advancing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Genie (Databricks) is a plus.
