Data Engineer – Integration Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Evaluate current Boomi integrations, workflows, mappings, transformations, schedules, and dependencies.

• Create and develop comparable data pipelines within Azure Data Factory.

• Transition data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data movement processes from Boomi to ADF.

• Link ADF pipelines to source and target systems, such as Oracle, Azure SQL, files, APIs, and other pertinent systems.

• Establish pipeline scheduling, parameterization, monitoring, alerting, retry logic, and error management.

• Work in conjunction with database migration engineers to ensure pipelines are compatible with migrated Azure SQL data structures.

• Assist with source-to-target mapping, data transformation logic, and technical documentation.

• Conduct pipeline testing, data validation, and defect resolution.

• Enhance ADF pipelines for reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Assist in deployment, production cutover, and post-migration stabilization efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.

• Proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL / ELT pipelines.

• Familiarity with Boomi or similar integration platforms.

• Experience in integrating with databases, flat files, APIs, cloud storage, and enterprise applications.

• Strong SQL abilities and experience with relational databases.

• Knowledge of pipeline orchestration, dependencies, scheduling, monitoring, retry logic, and error management.

• Experience with data mapping, transformation logic, data validation, and migration testing.

• Capability to assess existing integration processes and reconstruct them on a new platform.

• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate with database engineers, QA, architecture, and business teams.
