Data Engineer II – Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions utilizing AWS Services, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL, and associated technologies.

• Execute data warehouse solutions, dimensional data models, and ETL/ELT processes that enhance reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities.

• Establish data quality validations, test cases, and controls.

• Design and uphold data tests, including dbt tests.

• Assist in workflow orchestration, monitoring, troubleshooting, log analysis, and production operations using Airflow and cloud-native technologies.

• Collaborate effectively with business users, product partners, analysts, and technology teams.

• Adhere to engineering standards, development practices, documentation requirements, and testing protocols.

• Engage in pipeline deployments, environment promotions, operational support, and performance optimization utilizing CI/CD processes.

• Utilize AI-driven development and productivity tools to enhance engineering efficiency, code quality, and delivery outcomes.

• Play a role in modernizing enterprise data platforms and delivering cloud-based data solutions that support essential business initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Cloud Data Platforms, or related technology fields; OR a High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in these areas.

• Proficient in cloud-based data platforms and current data processing technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Spark, or similar solutions.

• Strong skills in Python and SQL, with experience in developing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data integration solutions.

• Familiarity with dbt, Apache Airflow, or similar technologies.

• Proven track record of delivering and supporting scalable, reliable data solutions in enterprise settings.

• Experience in collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to provide data-driven solutions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Experience with enterprise ETL/ELT tools such as DataStage, SAP BODS, SSIS, Informatica, or equivalent technologies is an advantage.

• Knowledge in Operational Data Stores, analytics platforms, and data products is beneficial.

• Experience with both cloud-based and on-premises data environments is a plus.

• Exposure to Data Vault modeling and contemporary data warehousing methodologies is advantageous.

• Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and data quality management practices is preferable.

• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or other highly regulated sectors is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or other analytics and visualization tools is a plus.

• Experience with AI-driven development and productivity tools is a plus.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, SnowPro Core Certification, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
