Data Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions utilizing AWS Services, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL, and related technologies.

• Execute data warehouse solutions, dimensional data models, and ETL/ELT processes that facilitate reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.

• Establish data quality validations, test cases, and controls.

• Create and sustain data tests, including those related to dbt.

• Assist with workflow orchestration, monitoring, troubleshooting, log analysis, and production operations utilizing Airflow and cloud-native technologies.

• Collaborate with business users, product partners, analysts, and technology teams.

• Adhere to engineering standards, development practices, documentation requirements, and testing protocols.

• Engage in pipeline deployments, environment promotion, operational support, and performance optimization utilizing CI/CD processes.

• Utilize AI-driven development and productivity tools to enhance engineering efficiency, code quality, and delivery results.

• Contribute to the modernization of enterprise data platforms and the bank's data and AI transformation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Cloud Data Platforms, or related technological fields; OR High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in these areas.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and contemporary data processing technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Spark, or equivalent solutions.

• Expertise in Python and SQL, with experience in developing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data integration solutions.

• Knowledge of modern data engineering tools and frameworks, including dbt and Apache Airflow or similar technologies.

• Proven track record in contributing to scalable and reliable data solutions within enterprise settings.

• Experience working collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Familiarity with enterprise ETL/ELT tools such as DataStage, SAP BODS, SSIS, Informatica, or equivalent technologies is a plus.

• Experience with Operational Data Stores, analytics platforms, and data products is advantageous.

• Experience within cloud-based and on-premises data environments is a plus.

• Exposure to Data Vault modeling and modern data warehousing methodologies is beneficial.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, compliance, and data quality management practices is a plus.

• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or other highly regulated sectors is a plus.

• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or other analytics and visualization tools is advantageous.

• Experience using AI-driven development and productivity tools is a plus.

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, SnowPro Core Certification, or equivalent are a plus.
