Data Engineer – Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create scalable data processing pipelines for both streaming and batch operations utilizing Big Data technologies such as Databricks, Airflow, and/or Dagster.

• Play a key role in the advancement of CI/CD and MLOps methodologies.

• Build applications to collect, process, and analyze data from a variety of sources.

• Work in collaboration with the Data Science team on Machine Learning initiatives, which include text/image analysis and the development of predictive models.

• Organize and execute data transformations using Databricks/DBT and Apache Airflow.

• Convert business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring optimal performance and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in implementing, developing, or maintaining Big Data systems.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, focusing on writing clean code and utilizing OOP design principles.

• Experience in crafting and executing data governance and management processes.

• Familiarity with Big Data technologies, including Airflow or Dagster, Databricks, Spark, and DBT.

• Track record of implementing and deploying solutions in cloud environments, preferably Azure.

• Understanding of how to create and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards for effective data visualization.

• Strong knowledge of dimensional data and data modeling methodologies.

• Excellent communication abilities and consulting experience with direct client interaction.

• Capability to work independently and take responsibility for project deliverables.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
