This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more states.
• Assist in shaping the direction and execution of YPO’s internal data architecture and its application across the organization and member-oriented services.
• Work in partnership with the data product owner on the development of new products.
• Create and implement data services and pipelines to support a wide range of use cases.
• Enhance internal data products and services through the analysis and organization of raw data.
• Assess business requirements and objectives related to data utilization and development.
• Examine and interpret trends and patterns to uncover new opportunities.
• Contribute to defining data best practices and tool applications.
• Investigate methods to improve data quality and reliability.
• Recognize opportunities for data acquisition.
• A bachelor’s degree in data engineering or a minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional experience in a data engineering capacity.
• A master’s degree is preferred.
• Preferably 5+ years of experience as a data engineer in a consumer-facing organization with a large and diverse customer/user base.
• Extensive practical experience with relational, NoSQL graph, and GraphQL database design.
• Technical proficiency in data models, data mining, and segmentation methods.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Experience in a test-driven CI/CD development environment.
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to merge data from diverse sources and correlate it for business and end-user insights.
• Experience with data platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery, visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau, as well as data services including Salesforce and third-party API-based data.
• Capacity to work flexible and/or extended hours across various time zones.
• Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally without restrictions, approximately 20% per year.
