This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the Snowflake data platform and associated data pipelines, utilizing AI-assisted development tools to boost efficiency, dependability, and maintainability.

• Foster innovation by integrating contemporary engineering practices, AI-assisted development, and automation to continually refine the data platform and expedite delivery.

• Design, construct, and optimize incremental data integration pipelines with a strong emphasis on data quality, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Establish and uphold data security measures, assist with audit and compliance obligations, and monitor platform usage and expenditures.

• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to provide reliable and scalable data solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

• Over 7 years of experience in Data Warehousing, Database administration, or Database development.

• More than 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer utilizing SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with a cloud-based technology stack on platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (including Docker or Kubernetes).

• Experience managing high volumes of data with tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, DataBricks, Iceberg, or similar modern column-store solutions.

• Practical experience administering Snowflake (or a similar cloud data warehouse) at scale, including resource monitors, warehouse sizing, RBAC, network policies, and query performance analysis.

• Understanding of the requirements to produce high-quality, high-performance, maintainable, and scalable data pipelines.

• Broad expertise in using ELT tools and data integration technologies (Airflow, DBT, Python, S3, REST-API).

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cortex, or similar) in daily development workflows.

• A positive and solution-oriented attitude, with a willingness to explore and learn new technologies.

• Proficient in English with excellent communication abilities.

• Comfortable collaborating with distributed teams across various time zones.

• Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally.
