Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.

• Gather, process, and store extensive volumes of data from diverse sources.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and convert them into technical solutions.

• Enhance and fine-tune database queries and processes for optimal performance and efficiency.

• Implement data quality verification and validation procedures.

• Develop and sustain data warehouses and data marts for reporting and analytical purposes.

• Facilitate data access for data scientists and analysts for analysis and modeling activities.

• Assess and integrate new technologies and tools to improve data processing capabilities.

• Create documentation for technical designs, processes, and methodologies.

• Diagnose and resolve issues associated with data pipelines, databases, and data infrastructure.

• Remain informed about industry trends and best practices in data engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 0-5 years of experience in data engineering or a comparable role.

• Proficient in SQL with experience in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Strong programming expertise in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

• Knowledge of ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica).

• Understanding of cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

• Comprehension of data modeling principles and techniques.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
