Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Designing the architecture for data products aimed at data analytics and data science, with a specific emphasis on applications such as forecasting, feature engineering, customer behavior, and the integration of new data sources.

• Pioneering data transformation initiatives by establishing best practices in areas including data modeling, performance optimization, and data governance, ensuring that the data utilized within Prima is consistent, accessible, and reliable.

• Developing reusable technologies that empower teams to ingest, store, transform, and serve their own data products.

• Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers to navigate the product landscape and refine data requirements for improved data infrastructure.

• Committing to continuous learning and experimentation to stay abreast of emerging technologies, from testing open-source tools to participating in community-building activities like Meetups. Your enthusiasm for remaining at the cutting edge of the field will guide your journey.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in batch and distributed data processing as well as near real-time streaming data pipelines utilizing technologies such as Kafka, Flink, and Spark. Experience with Databricks is an added advantage.

• Experienced in implementing Data Lake/Big Data Analytics platforms with cloud-based solutions; AWS experience is preferred.

• Skilled in Python programming and familiar with software engineering best practices.

• Expertise in RDBMS, data warehousing, and data modeling using relational SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL) as well as NoSQL databases.

• Competent in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, and knowledgeable in industry best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment.
