Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee robust ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.

• Design high-performance SQL scripts for intricate data transformations across various datasets.

• Contribute to the architecture and enhancement of Star/Snowflake data models.

• Identify and rectify data pipeline bottlenecks, optimizing query performance and cloud cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Actuaries to convert business logic into technical specifications.

• Engage in peer code evaluations and keep data warehouse documentation up to date.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in data engineering, particularly within cloud-based data warehouses.

• Strong familiarity with the Google Cloud ecosystem, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM best practices.

• Advanced SQL expertise, encompassing window functions, recursive CTEs, query plan analysis, and DDL writing.

• Comprehensive understanding of partitioning, clustering, and data warehousing lifecycle management.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating with US-based business teams.

• A quiet and dedicated workspace.

• A reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps.
