Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• In the role of Data Engineer, you will take charge of constructing and upholding a scalable and dependable data infrastructure that supports the organization's data platform. You will create ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing, amalgamate data from various sources, refine data warehouse models, and guarantee data quality, performance, and scalability. By collaborating closely with Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, BI specialists, and IT/DevOps teams, you will facilitate data-driven decision-making and bolster essential business functions within a rapidly expanding international e-commerce setting.

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines (batch and streaming)

• Work with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing

• Integrate multiple data sources via APIs and replication

• Design and optimize data warehouse models

• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting

• Continuously enhance performance, scalability, and reliability

⛳️ Requirements

• __**Must-have Skills/Qualification:**__

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms

• Proficient in SQL, with the ability to navigate complex data environments

• Practical experience with ETL/ELT processes and contemporary data tools such as Apache Airflow

• Familiarity with dbt (Data Build Tool) for developing, testing, documenting, and managing scalable data transformation workflows within a modern data warehouse context

• Experience with cloud environments like AWS and/or GCP

• A pragmatic approach with a strong sense of ownership and an emphasis on delivering impactful results

• Excellent English communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• __**Advantageous Skills/Experience:**__

• Experience with Apache Flink and Databricks

• Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development

• Understanding of machine learning, including model training, inference, and MLOps

• Fluent in Dutch.
