Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable and dependable data pipelines that deliver precise data feeds from both internal and external sources.

• Oversee scalable and high-performing cloud-based production relational and non-relational databases.

• Collaborate on defining architecture, consistently considering solutions that are both scalable and secure.

• Propel data systems to achieve near real-time performance.

• Design, document, automate, and execute testing plans to ensure data quality.

• Engage in the process of generating and analyzing features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or its international equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a relevant data field.

• Proven experience in building both streaming and batch data pipelines/ETL, along with familiarity with design principles.

• Proficient in Python, PostgreSQL, and PL/pgSQL, with expertise in the development and administration of large databases, focusing on performance and production support in native cloud environments.

• Experience implementing scalability solutions and multi-region replication and failover strategies.

• Familiarity with data warehouse technologies such as Trino, Clickhouse, and Airflow.

• Comprehensive understanding of programming, with proficiency in at least one programming language.

• Proficient in the English language.
