This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design, create, test, and sustain data solutions, applications, and data pipelines.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and upkeep of scalable, secure, compliant, and dependable data architectures.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Oversee data platform performance and execute enhancements to optimize efficiency and minimize latency.
• Proactively ensure data quality, reliability, and operational excellence across data systems.
• Assess and facilitate the integration of new data technologies, tools, and architectural methodologies.
• Aid in defining and executing the vision for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing throughout the organization.
• Establish cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders to address data requirements.
• Advocate for best practices in data engineering and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
• Participate in strategic planning for data initiatives, assisting in defining objectives and execution roadmaps.
• Convey complex technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor and support team members when appropriate.
• Promote a collaborative team culture founded on transparency, accountability, and growth.
• Commercial experience with Python.
• Strong SQL proficiency (any major SQL dialect).
• Experience utilizing Git for source control and version management.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Practical experience with AWS services.
• Understanding of AWS security best practices for data-related products.
• Experience with application containerization using Docker.
• Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and data engineering best practices.
• Strong comprehension of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
