Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Play an essential role in the development, maintenance, and scaling of the pipelines and data systems that drive the client's unified data platform.

• Design and uphold robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and process both third-party and first-party datasets.

• Implement transformation, normalization, and enrichment rules to guarantee data consistency and usability.

• Collaborate with product managers, data architects, and content experts to ensure data structure aligns with business requirements.

• Assist in the execution of data matching and entity resolution processes utilizing AI/ML tools and proprietary frameworks.

• Create alerts, logs, and metrics to maintain healthy data flows and facilitate the swift identification and resolution of issues.

• Develop and sustain data pipelines using dbt, creating models from raw data through staging and intermediate layers to final semantic models for analytics and dashboards.

• Contribute to documentation, code quality standards, and internal best practices to ensure long-term maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in data engineering, specifically in building production-grade data pipelines.

• Proficient in SQL, Python, and dbt, with extensive experience in Snowflake.

• Additional familiarity with Spark, Airflow, and Azure Data Lake or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of Azure (preferred) or other leading cloud platforms.

• Understanding of data modeling, version control, CI/CD, and data governance principles.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about taking ownership of projects and continuously enhancing systems.

• Comfortable working in a cross-functional setting and open to learning from and supporting colleagues.
