Staff Software Engineer – Reference Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical vision for intricate solutions in close collaboration with your product colleagues, guiding engineering peers across different regions and the broader engineering community.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions that align with business needs.

• Develop frameworks that facilitate the efficient ingestion and distribution of financial data, and create AI-native products, transitioning from initial prototypes to scalable production services with speed.

• Assess and influence strategic business and technology choices for both the organization and its clients.

• Serve as a technical thought leader in various domains, educating others and sharing best practices. Your input provides strategic and actionable guidance.

• Operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to deliver high-quality outcomes and promote continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.

• Previous experience with distributed systems, microservices, and messaging queues.

• Capacity to manage complex projects involving collaboration with multiple teams.

• Demonstrated ability to work with and mentor fellow engineers.

• Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language (PySpark, Python, Java), as well as relational databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.

• Familiarity with financial concepts (e.g., stocks, bonds, etc.) is advantageous but not essential.

• Enthusiasm for the FinTech sector and a desire to tackle previously unsolvable issues in investment management is a plus.

• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
