This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Work closely with stakeholders and internal technical teams across various functions to gather requirements, document business rules, and develop a comprehensive understanding of business objectives and context.
• Collaborate to create secure, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions.
• Design, construct, and maintain scalable and reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines utilizing AWS, Snowflake, and associated tools.
• Develop and enhance both conceptual and physical data models to support analytics, reporting, dashboards, and operational use.
• Implement frameworks for data quality, validation, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Ensure that data workflows are modular, testable, and adequately version-controlled.
• Operationalize pipelines with monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery features.
• Conduct advanced data analyses using programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Create documentation including data models, data dictionaries, and data usage guides.
• Enhance the overall performance of data workflows from end to end.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins to facilitate automated testing, deployments, and continuous integration.
• Adhere to scheduled deadlines and commitments while maintaining a high standard of deliverable quality.
• Work within a team of cross-functional resources in an Agile delivery framework to provide iterative value.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
• Able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and successfully pass a government background investigation.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with ten (10) or more years of experience in roles such as Data System Architect or Engineer.
• Required hands-on experience with Snowflake tools, SQL, and Python.
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake, AWS services, and GitHub for source control, branching strategies, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with data integration patterns, data warehousing, and contemporary data architecture.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to analyze data, generate meaningful insights, and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Experience in object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Data Lake concepts.
• Understanding of the Agile framework, Scrum methodologies, and associated tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and report findings to stakeholders.
• Previous experience with government agencies and fraud detection systems is advantageous.
