Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop a dependable and scalable data platform.

• Integrate and connect new data sources into a cohesive pipeline.

• Manage the orchestration and reliability of the pipeline: oversee task dependencies, error handling, retry logic, and recovery from failures.

• Ensure data quality: implement validation checks, manage NULL values and duplicates, and monitor data freshness and consistency.

• Prepare data as a product for AI agents: deliver clean, well-documented, and reliable datasets that do not require manual verification.

• Assist with analytical tasks where automation is insufficient, and aid the team in transitioning to self-service analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable data infrastructure role.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and practical experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery is preferred).

• Experience in designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and multi-layered data warehouse architecture (raw → stage → final).

• Practical experience with pipeline orchestration tools (such as Airflow, MWAA, or Cloud Functions): managing task dependencies, error handling, retry logic, and recovery from failures.

• Comprehensive understanding of data quality practices, including validation, handling of NULLs and duplicates, and monitoring freshness and consistency.

• Bonus: Experience with subscription-based products (either web or mobile).
