Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee, enhance, and manage essential business information across various enterprise platforms and systems.

• Assess, affirm, and elevate the quality, consistency, completeness, and accuracy of information.

• Assist in the onboarding of new products, services, or business records by validating and enhancing data prior to deployment.

• Investigate, source, and verify information from both internal and external resources.

• Track data quality metrics and conduct audits to pinpoint inconsistencies, duplicates, and areas for improvement.

• Develop and sustain dashboards, reports, and monitoring tools to track operational performance and data quality indicators.

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to grasp requirements and implement efficient data solutions.

• Aid in governance initiatives, documentation tasks, and the adoption of best practices in data management.

• Recognize opportunities to automate manual processes using SQL, spreadsheets, data transformation tools, and AI-assisted technologies.

• Contribute to organization-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, data reliability, and process scalability.

• Educate and assist users on reporting tools, data standards, and governance practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Business Operations, Data Quality, Master Data Management, or related domains.

• Proven experience in maintaining and validating large datasets of structured business information.

• Solid understanding of data quality principles, governance frameworks, and information lifecycle management.

• Practical experience using SQL for data analysis, validation, and reporting.

• Advanced skills in spreadsheets and data manipulation techniques.

• Experience in creating dashboards, reports, and operational metrics.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convert business requirements into actionable solutions.

• Experience in documenting processes, standards, and operational procedures.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Experience with Master Data Management initiatives is advantageous.

• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, ERP systems, or content management solutions is beneficial.

• Exposure to data transformation, automation, or workflow orchestration tools is a plus.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools to enhance operational efficiency is an advantage.

• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and information stewardship practices is a plus.

• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives is a plus.

• Must currently reside in Latin America.
