This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

• Take charge of the complete pipeline that generates the unified customer_uuid for both Books & Media and Fashion.

• Oversee and enhance our customer identity master data, prioritizing accuracy, reliability, and production quality.

• Refine our probabilistic identity resolution model, ensuring that matching decisions are measurable, transparent, and easy to explain.

• Develop scalable and cost-effective data pipelines utilizing BigQuery, GCS, and Cloud Run Jobs.

• Implement diagnostics, monitoring, and structured validation for all significant model changes.

• Detect and address edge cases in customer matching logic before they escalate into production issues.

• Collaborate closely with both business and technical stakeholders to transform intricate matching challenges into effective data solutions.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in production data engineering.

• Extensive experience with BigQuery and advanced SQL in large-scale analytical settings.

• Proficient in Python for production-level data engineering tasks.

• Solid experience with Airflow and a deep understanding of reliable orchestration patterns.

• Practical experience with incremental pipelines and idempotent data processing.

• Knowledge of probabilistic record linkage or entity resolution in a production environment.

• Strong grasp of data quality, matching logic, and the trade-offs between precision and recall.
