Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Work remotely from any location in LATAM and the Philippines

• Create clear schemas, write effective SQL, and enhance Postgres performance

• Develop and advance the Postgres schema for recruiting, candidates, and business operations

• Construct SQL views and derived tables for reporting and AI purposes

• Improve query performance through indexing, partitioning, and execution-plan analysis

• Conduct a comprehensive schema audit, implementing high-priority fixes and achieving measurable performance improvements within the first 3-6 months

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience with production PostgreSQL databases

• Proficient in advanced SQL: including window functions, CTEs, JSONB, EXPLAIN analysis, and query optimization techniques

• Experience in relational data modeling for both OLTP and analytical scenarios, involving materialized views, indexing, and partitioning on OLTP Postgres

• Ability to define and enforce PII, data classification, and retention policies at the database level

• Familiarity with Git-based schema migration workflows (such as Flyway or Sqitch) including PR reviews

• Basic knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for one-off data tasks and validation

• Proficient in B2+ English (CEFR) for reading technical documentation across teams
