This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

• Participate in the design and development of scalable data pipelines utilizing AWS services (Glue, S3, Athena, Step Functions).

• Construct and enhance batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines, including architectures based on CDC.

• Assist in the design and execution of data models that align with both business and analytical requirements.

• Maintain data quality, reliability, and performance across all pipelines and datasets.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.

• Implement best practices in data engineering, focusing on modular design, reusability, and governance.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and improve code quality.

• Actively identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization within data workflows.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Practical experience with the AWS ecosystem, including Glue, S3, Athena, and Step Functions (mandatory).

• Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark for developing data pipelines (mandatory).

• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse solutions (preferred).

• Knowledge of data pipeline architecture and design patterns.

• Familiarity with CDC (Change Data Capture) methodologies and streaming data ingestion.

• Experience in data modeling for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Understanding of AI-assisted development tools (preferred).

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to thrive in collaborative, agile settings.

• English proficiency: Advanced (necessary for effective communication with global teams).
