Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for integration, transformation, and information processing processes.

• Implement and manage orchestration processes using Airflow and AWS Step Functions.

• Create and implement solutions for Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouses.

• Participate in data modeling using dimensional, star, and snowflake models.

• Develop solutions utilizing AWS services and tools.

• Engage in implementation and deployment through AWS CodePipeline and AWS CDK.

• Collaborate in defining and evolving data solutions with a focus on quality, scalability, and maintainability.

• Research technologies to address technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Contribute to the quality, availability, and evolution of data products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, developing solutions for analytics projects.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience in programming, preferably with Python.

• Experience in designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration and transformation.

• Experience in data orchestration using tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.

• Knowledge of modern data architectures: Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouses.

• Experience in data modeling, including dimensional models and star and snowflake schemas.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, especially S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Athena.

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (AWS CDK) and CI/CD (AWS CodePipeline).

• Experience implementing solutions in production, focusing on quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Ability to organize your own workload, make decisions, and meet deadlines and objectives.
